Connor Savago: Newborn Session

I'm always excited to work with the Savago family. I believe Bri and Patrick were some of my first paying "clients" when they contacted me about a maternity shoot when they were expecting their first son, Liam, two years ago. What a joy it has been to document and celebrate the many milestones in their family since then. 

I knew Liam would make a great big brother. His happy-go-lucky nature and "more the merrier" attitude is helping him with the transition of bringing home his baby brother, Connor. I loved witnessing the sweet interactions between the brothers, both still in diapers but already developing a lifelong bond. Liam looks at Connor with such admiration and awe. And you can tell Connor is soothed by his brother's voice, a familiar (though sometimes rambunctious) sound he had been hearing for months from the womb.  I can't wait to see Connor grow up to play helicopters and "anos" (Liam's made up word for airplanes) with his big brother. I'm pretty sure Mika, the family's precious dog, is also giving Connor a warm welcome with lots of love and kisses.

When I asked Bri what the word "family" meant to her, she said these simple words:

"Family is a feeling of home and happiness and laughter and silliness."

Bri and Patrick, I couldn't choose more perfect words to describe your family: home, happiness, laughter and silliness. You are such loving, patient and FUN parents to your boys. Many blessings to your new family of four (or five, counting Mika).
