The Miner Family
I'm so glad that the Miner family braved the heat a few weeks ago for a fun, summer photo session. Jeannine (a fellow photographer on sabbatical) shared that her oldest daughter Kasey would be home from college for the summer and she wanted to take advantage of everyone being home for a family photo shoot. You can tell Jeannine has a background in photography - check out the beautiful styling of their clothes! I love how the Miner family incorporated color, texture and pattern for a cohesive look.
I had no trouble at all getting these sweet siblings to goof off together. You didn't hear it from me, but there just may have been a whoopie cushion hiding in the background of these shots. I'm not against silly pranks to get some good ole' authentic laughter. I just loved how Kasey (19), Daniel (15), Ava (14), and Olivia (10) were able to let loose and have fun together in front of the camera.
I had to sneak in a few photos of Jeannine and her husband, Kirby. Isn't it amazing how after kids, you never seem to take photos with your spouse? I'd like to change that!
And of course I had to reward them all for sweating through the shoot with ice-cold raspberry limeade slushies. They happily obliged : )
Thanks again to The Miner Family!
