Alecia and Stephen: Engaged

Boy was I in for a treat in photographing Alecia and Stephen's engagement session. These two are the real thing. Genuine. Silly. Humble. They have been planning their intimate, backyard October wedding to include their closest loved ones. These two love birds have decided to write their own vows, but will only be sharing with each other, quietly during their ceremony. What a sweet and intimate gesture...

Alecia and Stephen drove down to Charlotte for their session. When they shared how they enjoyed to listen to old vinyls while they cooked together, I knew that a visit to Repo Records would be the perfect start to our time together. We continued our session by exploring NoDa street by street, and we finished off our evening getting to know each other better over some sliders and prosciutto sandwiches at Davidson Street Public House. 

I loved hearing Alecia share about their early dating days - she joked about how Stephen would only take her out on Wednesday nights and she secretly wondered when she would be "worthy" of a Saturday night date. Stephen quickly interjected with "when I figured out she was my Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday girl!"

Alecia and Stephen, I'm counting down the days until your October wedding. I'm so honored that you chose me to document your special day!
