Blythe Bennett - Newborn Session
Jessica and Richard welcomed their first child, Blythe Eleanor, on August 20th. It was such a treat to go into their home and document one of their earliest days as a family.
Parenthood comes so naturally to these two. It is evident that tenderness, patience, teamwork and communication was a part of Jessica and Richard's marriage long before Blythe's arrival. Baby Blythe seems to have strengthened their bond as a couple.
Blythe has the most beautiful nursery - you can tell a lot of care went into creating the most perfect little nest for her to sleep, play and grow. From the enchanting chandelier to handwritten scriptures flanking each side of her antique spindle crib, Mom and Dad made sure to surround Blythe with light and love. I did a double take when I saw a framed hospital photo in the nursery. I thought for sure that it was Jessica holding Blythe, but in fact it was Jessica's mom holding her as a newborn decades ago!
I just love to think about the memories Blythe's nursery will hold - snuggles, late night feedings, epic diaper blow outs, bedtime stories, monsters under the bed, laughter and lots of prayers.
Of course Grover, the family's golden doodle was included in some family shots. I really wanted to bring him home with me. I have a feeling that he and Blythe are going to become best buddies!
Many thanks to the Bennett family for entrusting me to photograph their special family.
