Ivy Keane - Newborn Session

Little Ivy Jocelyn was wished for, anxiously anticipated and above all else,  prayed for. I am reminded of the beautiful verse from 1 Samuel 1:27 which says: "For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition that I made to him."

I could see God's faithfulness written all over Ivy and her parents, Shauna and Jim. 

I especially love photographing parents with their first baby in the early newborn days. Not only has a new baby been born, but a new mother and new father has been born. Every cuddle, every feeding, every diaper change reinforces this newfound, glorious role of parenthood. With every action the new parent is saying, "You are my greatest gift; I will love you and care for you, always." My favorite family photographs evoke these sentiments.
