Rohan Przybysz - Three Months Old - Lifestyle Session

What an honor it was to photograph Mike and Chani as they welcome their precious son, Rohan, to this world.

Chani admitted to me that she had not planned on booking a professional newborn session for Rohan. But once her son was here and she watched Rohan grow and develop with each passing day, she began to understand the significant role photography can play in memorializing one's childhood. When you invest in family photography, you are not merely paying for pretty pictures to adorn the walls - you are investing in your family's legacy. 

I was delighted to shoot an in-home lifestyle session to document handsome little Rohan at three months old. I was struck by how alert he was - he was especially mesmerized with my camera and the sound of my shutter. He would look straight into my lens and just smile up at me! 

Working with Chani was so satisfying - she did not want any forced, posed photos. Instead she asked that I capture authentic moments of her family. I found myself asking her, "How would you hold Rohan if I was not here?"

I never want my photographs to bring attention to me as the photographer; if anything, I want to disappear! I want to invite the viewer into a sacred, intimate moment and for them to feel comfort, love and joy. 

Isn't Rohan's nursery the most sophisticated, whimsical space you have ever seen? I love how Chani and Mike balanced bright textiles with a dramatic ceiling and soothing white walls. I'm beginning to think my blog could serve as inspiration for nursery decor - my clients are so talented when it comes to designing spaces! 

Chani's parents joined in on the photo shoot fun - I loved watching them delight in their newest grandchild...

Even the family pets adorned their best bow ties and posed flawlessly for the camera. 

Rohan - you are a treasure. May you follow your parents' lead and grow into a man of strength, gentleness, wisdom and humility.
