Rohan's First Birthday

There's nothing like a relaxed, in-home lifestyle session to document authentic moments with your little ones. I was honored when Chani and Mike invited me back to their home to celebrate their son Rohan's first birthday. The first year is such a significant milestone, both for the child, and for the parents. 

It was the perfect afternoon filled with birthday hats, juggling kitchen utensils, reading books, and of course, smashing CAKE. To make the day even sweeter, grandparents and aunties flew into town to dote on the sweet birthday boy. 

Have you ever seen a more precious birthday smash cake? According to Mike and Chani, Rohan has been sporting the nickname, "slug" since he was in utero. He was very curious about the cake and kept on looking up at Mom and Dad as if to ask, "Am I allowed to touch this?" 

Happiest of birthdays to you, Rohan!
